MF DOOM's Shoreditch Mural

It was late evening on August 23, 2012, when MF DOOM, assisted by a 12 pack of Guiness, painted the long mural below in Peter the Pleater's Courtyard behind the Shoreditch Art Wall. The mural was vandalized some 10 days later.

In 2016 the courtyard and the mural were destroyed as part of the Stage Development and Shakespeares's 'Curtain' Theatre. We were priveledged to be able to capture him working and to be able to share some images of the event.

From 2011 to 2017, Peter and Bernice Selvey's colorful Shoreditch courtyard and SAW,their
Shoreditch Art Wall, was London's #1 Venue for Outdoor Advertising and International Art.
It is now part of the Stage Development that includes Shakespeare's Curtain Threatre
